The Black Student Union at the University of California, San Diego condemns the recent acquittal of Officer Darren Wilson in the killing of Mike Brown. It is disheartening and demoralizing as Black students to witness our people subject to police brutality, unfair execution of the law and a lack of protection under the law. The Mike Brown Case is one example of the many injustices our community faces at the hands of police, vigilantes, and security forces across the nation. As Black Students, we feel responsible to speak out and mobilize on behalf of the members of our community that are disproportionately affected by the gross malfeasance of the American justice system. As a result, the Black Student Union will be demonstrating this Wednesday morning November 26, 2014 to protest police brutality, inequality, and institutional racism. If you are interested in supporting the Black Student Union in this cause, please contact the following email to be involved. Your support means a great deal to us and we thank you in advance.
