Aside from the comfortable lounges and chairs, the shared refrigerator, constant use of the microwave, art displays, and daily hum of students, staff, and faculty, the Cross-Cultural Center engages in multiple ways of cultivating community. This takes shape of creating space for dialogue, partnering with departments and groups to promote social and self- awareness programs, facilitating workshops and referrals for professional, personal, and academic development, connecting the campus to shared resources, or simply sharing the day’s story over a meal. Check out our events page to find out what’s happening in and around the Cross-Cultural Center, the Women’s Center and Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center. When you hear folks say, “see you at the Cross,” you know they’re talking about the Cross-Cultural Center. |
